Instructions:

So, you bought a mirror dashboard camera. You made a good choice, and you will soon see why. If you haven’t had time to read the instructions delivered with the product, here you will find help. You’ll learn how to install it, practical usage tips (remember you actually have two cameras in the package!), answers to common questions from other buyers, and more. Let’s begin!

INSTALLING THE CAMERAS

Installing the mirror camera is very easy — it mounts directly over your existing rearview mirror using the included clips.
Some users were unsure about the rear camera, but installation is also simple. If you don’t have time for explanations, here is a 3-minute video showing how to route the cables for both cameras without cluttering the interior.

Near the end, you will find two wires in your hand — one red and one black — and might not know what to do with them. The cameras will work perfectly even if you do nothing with these wires.

A RED AND BLACK WIRING DILEMMA

If you want full functionality, the two wires must be connected to the car’s electrical system:

Red wire → reverse light positive (+)

Black wire → car chassis (ground -)

After connecting them, whenever the car is shifted into reverse, two parking guide lines will appear on the screen and the rear camera image will automatically become full screen. Great feature, right?

DOES THE REAR CAMERA GET WATER? DOES IT FREEZE?

You may wonder what happens at the car wash or in heavy rain. In normal weather conditions, the rear camera is protected and will not be damaged.
However, at the car wash, avoid directing the pressure jet directly at the camera — it can be affected.
During winter, in normal freezing conditions, the camera continues to work without issues.

CATCHING THE NEIGHBOR WHO KEEPS SCRATCHING YOUR CAR?

We know the feeling — we’ve been there too. You’d love for this camera to catch them in the act so you can show proof: “Look, I filmed you…”
Although the cameras have motion and vibration sensors and can record when powered by the car’s electrical system, they are limited by SD card size. Even with a larger card, they record only a few hours in a loop — the chances of catching the culprit in that time are small.
Suggestion: install a home security camera facing the parking area — much higher success probability.

CARDS, RECORDINGS & LOCKED FILES

Maximum supported card: 32 GB.
The camera records continuously in a loop — older files are deleted automatically to make room for new ones.
In case of an impact, the current recording is locked and saved as evidence for police or insurance. This file must be manually deleted later. All other recordings are automatically overwritten.

NIGHT RECORDING WITH THE MIRROR CAMERA

Night video quality depends on ambient lighting.

In complete darkness, the camera records within the reach of the car’s headlights.

In urban areas with decent lighting, video quality improves significantly.
Note: cars with “duplex” windshields (infrared-protected) may experience reduced video clarity.

PRACTICAL THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

  • What if the mirror camera heats up while working? It has a heat dissipation system. Even if it gets warm, there is no risk.
